It is becoming easier and easier to pay for everything with your phone. One of the main reasons for this is the fact that millennials are so use to using their phone and technology to do everything in their lives, it is only natural that they would want to use their phone to pay for everything they can. The companies that will have the best check out options for mobile phones will probably see the most profits.
- M-commerce, or mobile purchasing, is growing fast, thanks to more confidence over security and greater simplicity
- In February an IMRG report claimed that in the fourth quarter of 2015, over half of online sales (51%) were made through mobile devices, a rise of 11% on the previous year.
- Amazon, of course, plans to be a large part of this growth. The irrepressible online retailer recently announced plans to start selling groceries online in the UK (it has been operational via a mobile app in the US since 2011).
