Studies have shown that people associate fonts with certain personalities and emotions, so choosing the font is an important decision for website builders. Fonts are grouped into certain categories called typefaces. Some typefaces, like sans serif, are easier to read on small screens. Fonts also differ in what emotion they convey, which may be caused by people’s prior experience with the font, and so will attract different audiences. And importantly, fonts that are easier to read will make readers feel that the message itself is easier to accomplish.
