Customer service can be a problem for many companies. Isolation from company values is a problem. The service team needs to be well connected with the whole company. If they are more involved with product function and design then they can provide better service. The service team needs to be motivated to do well. This can be done by giving them authority or putting money on the line. The service team needs clarity and purpose in order to do well.
